Graduating Seniors: Class of 2026
Dear Parents, Guardians and Prospective Graduates of the Class of 2026,
We are looking forward to the graduation of Gotham Tech High School senior class in June. We have a very exciting year ahead of us and are ready to get started. This class is filled with intelligent and creative young adults who will, no doubt, keep up and surpass the high-level of work that has characterized their past three years at Gotham Tech High School.
Participation in senior events is a privilege that comes with responsibility. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, students are expected to maintain good academic standing and follow school rules at all times. Participation will be based on school records, including academic performance and behavior reports. We appreciate your cooperation in making these events a positive celebration for the entire senior class.
Upon reaching the final year of high school, Gotham Tech students and their families have to incur certain expenses, which must be borne by seniors in the NYC school system. NYC Public Schools pays for the diplomas, but the funds to support all other costs are usually raised by seniors and their families.
However, this year we are proud to gift Gotham’s 1st graduating class with the following items that you will not be financially responsible for:
- Graduation Cap, Gown, and Diploma Case
- Senior T-Shirt
- Senior Yearbook
- Graduation Tickets, decorations and program
The only MANDATORY EXPENSE will be:
Senior Celebration Lunch and Yearbook Signing Party…$30
Information about Payments:
- Payments are not refundable.
- All payments must be paid by money order payable to Gotham Tech High School.
- Please include the student’s name on the money order.
- Checks, credit or debit cards will not be accepted.
- There are late fees of $10 and $20 for the various events (see attached additional information)
- Bring payments to Mrs. Jolley in room 409.
OPTIONAL EXPENSES:
- Senior Portraits: $15-$30 cash on the day of your senior portrait TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER. This payment is for the proof of the photo. Photo packages begin at $130 and up.
- Senior Overnight Trip*: $440-$580 (money order) Any student interested must have passing grades, 90% attendance in all classes and no dean’s record.
- Senior Day Trip*: $160 includes food (money order only) Students must have passing grades, 90% attendance in all classes and no dean’s record.
- Senior Prom*: $150 (money order) Any student interested must have passing grades, 80% attendance in all classes and no dean’s record.
- Senior Hoodie: $35 (Add on $10 name on back option) (money order)
*These activities require parent/guardian permission slips that will be distributed before the event.
All of these expenses are described in more detail with deadline dates on the attached sheets. It’s very important you follow the deadlines to keep your space for each activity.

Welcome Prospective Graduates!
As a senior student, there are many events involved, as well as EXPENSES. The following information contains activities, dates, and deadlines for Senior students. Please note that some are optional, and some are mandatory.
- SENIOR DUES – MANDATORY $30. (money order only)
- Senior Celebration Lunch and Yearbook Signing Party…$30
SENIOR DUES DEADLINE: Wednesday, November 5, 2025 ($30)
- SENIOR PORTRAITS - MANDATORY - $15 - $30 cash fee to the photographer.
Senior Portraits are professional photographs of a close-up photo of you in the senior yearbook. There is a $15 - $30 cash fee to be paid on the day of your appointment to the photographers. School appointments are automatically made and scheduled in December during school time at the QIC Auditorium.
If you miss your appointment at school, you can make an appointment directly with the studio. It will be another $15-$30. You may reach them at Continental Studios - 718-268-2870. Their studio is located at 103-03 Metropolitan Ave, Forest Hills, NY 11375.
- SENIOR CLASS PHOTO – OPTIONAL – Your cooperation is important! NO COST.
A CLASS OF 2026 group photo will be arranged at school. In order to have a great looking photo, we need your undivided attention and cooperation. Date will be announced soon.
- SENIOR PROM – OPTIONAL EVENT, but should be mandatory, if you want to have fun!!! $150 (Money Order only.)
This is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026. This is a dinner and dancing celebration. This year’s prom will be on the Skyline Princess; a dinner cruise that sails from Flushing Meadows Corona Park to the Statue of Liberty and back. Students also receive a prom souvenir with the purchase of a prom ticket. Tickets will not be sold on the day of the prom, therefore purchase your tickets in advance. This event will not be in the yearbook.

- Six Flags in NJ
Paintball can be arranged for an additional cost of $50.
SENIOR TRIP PAYMENT DEADLINE 1: Wednesday, November 5, 2025 ($100)
SENIOR TRIP PAYMENT DEADLINE 2: Wednesday, December 10, 2025 (balance)
- GRADUATION – Date and Time to be determined. Each student will be given up to four (4) tickets for guests. Graduates do not need a ticket. A survey will be sent to request the number of tickets. We cannot guarantee more than four tickets. One graduation rehearsal will be held at the QIC Auditorium. All students must attend the rehearsal.
You can decorate your cap and stole.
- SENIOR HOODIE – OPTIONAL $35-$50 depending on customization
Personalization option for name on the back can be purchased for an additional $10.
Please speak with your counselors to make sure you are on course to graduate. It is your responsibility to pass all of your classes, regents, and follow school rules in order to be a part of these activities.
Gotham Tech High School has the final decision in your participation of the senior events based on your overall record to make sure that we provide a safe environment for everyone.

Late Fees for Prom:

All payments can be combined on one total money order. Or you can pay in installments. Some dates are flexible. Please ask Mrs. Jolley about flexibility.
